Weather - Kilometers of traffic jams on freeways: ADAC advises against driving
The heavy snowfall is causing long traffic jams on the highways in Bavaria. On the A8 in the direction of Salzburg, a traffic jam near Munich was already 30 kilometers long, said an ADAC spokeswoman on Saturday morning. There are currently 96 traffic jams more than ten kilometers long throughout Germany - all of them in Bavaria. The A6 and A9 are also heavily affected.
The automobile club recommends temporarily avoiding unnecessary journeys and, if you do, then only drive with winter equipment, the spokeswoman said.
