Berlin - Killing of a man in Marzahn: CID catches suspect
Around a week after the killing of a 63-year-old man in Berlin-Marzahn, the alleged perpetrator has been arrested. The 34-year-old suspect, who is said to have lived with the deceased for a time, was arrested on Monday evening in Charlottenburg by plainclothes detectives from the criminal investigation department, the police announced on Tuesday. An arrest warrant had already been issued and the man is now in custody.
On the night of November 28, an 86-year-old woman in an apartment building in Marzahn heard someone entering her apartment with a key. The intruder overpowered her, asked for money and fled. The woman told the police that her nephew, who lived in the same house, had a second key to the apartment. The police found the nephew dead in his apartment and have been searching for the perpetrator ever since.
