Kiel handball team with working victory in Stuttgart

THW Kiel has won its away game in the German Handball League at TVB Stuttgart. However, it was hard work for the record champions on Sunday, who ultimately prevailed 36:31 (16:17). The North Germans remain fourth in the table with 18:10 points. Eric Johansson was THW's best scorer with eight goals.

Kiel completely missed the start of the game. The Swabians led 3:0 after just 65 seconds, with THW chasing the game. Niclas Ekberg missed the first equalizer with the last action of the first half. The Swede's seven-meter penalty was saved by Stuttgart goalkeeper Miljan Vujovic.

THW coach Filip Jicha then put Samir Bellahcene between the posts at the start of the second half. The Frenchman gave Kiel's defense the stability it needed. And things also went better in attack. Magnus Landin put the club from the north of Germany 23:22 in front for the first time in the 42nd minute.

However, the understrength TVB, which had three young players without Bundesliga experience in its squad, did not allow itself to be shaken off at first. However, left wing Landin's goal to make it 32:29 then put THW on the road to victory

THW Kiel's victory over TVB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga was crucial for their fourth place in the table, as they secured a 36-31 win despite a challenging start. Eric Johansson, with eight goals, was the standout player for THW Kiel in this Handball match.

Following the tough first half where THW Kiel was chasing the game, Samir Bellahcene's replacement of Miljan Vujovic in goal provided the stability needed for a stronger second half performance, ultimately leading to victory for THW Kiel against TVB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.
