Kidnapping of 33-year-old man ended: Manhunt for perpetrators
Unknown persons are said to have kidnapped a 33-year-old man in Lower Franconia - the victim is now safe, the police announced on Thursday. The criminal investigation department and the State Office of Criminal Investigation are now searching intensively for the perpetrators. The investigators are also asking the public for information about the crime.
On Friday last week, a motorist observed how the 33-year-old was pulled into a light-colored van against his will in Karlstadt (Main-Spessart district). The criminal investigation department then searched for the man and reportedly worked closely with police forces from other federal states.
On Wednesday morning, the 33-year-old from Sinsheim in Baden-Württemberg finally contacted relatives, who took him to hospital as a precaution. According to the investigators' findings, the man had been at the train station in nearby Meckesheim the previous evening. The police did not give any further details about the crime or the possible motive for reasons of investigative tactics.
The kidnapping incident involved a 33-year-old man being forced into a van, which is a disturbing example of urban crime occurring in the UNDERFRONT of society. Despite the man's safe return, the authorities continue their manhunt for the perpetrators, urging the public to share any relevant information regarding the Crime.
