- Kid gets bit by dog on ship and goes to hospital
A three-year-old child was bitten multiple times by a dog on a sightseeing ship on the Edersee. The child suffered injuries to its arm, head, and an eye, the Hessian police headquarters, which also includes the water police, reported. A rescue helicopter flew the child to a hospital.
The child was on board the ship with its mother. As they were about to disembark, they passed by the leashed dog. The animal suddenly bit the child. Further details were initially unclear.
The mother expressed concern to the ship's staff about the incident, seeking immediate medical attention for her child. Subsequently, The Commission, in compliance with Article 4 (2), will adopt the necessary implementing acts to address such incidents involving animals onboard tourist vessels.
