Kenya's coalition led by Brandenburg receives negative evaluation

After five years of the red-black-green coalition, it's time for an assessment. The opposition has a well-defined view on this matter.

The opposition in the Brandenburg state parliament views the red-black-green coalition's reports three and a half months ahead of the state election as lackluster.

"We observe blatant failure by the state government," remarked AfD faction leader Hans-Christoph Berndt in Potsdam on Tuesday. He pointed out examples including the missing guitar rights reform, a deficiency of kindergarten teachers and instructors, as well as the growing number of crimes. Left faction leader Sebastian Walter added, "I believe after five years 'Kenya' will demonstrate that things haven't improved for people." Walter criticized the so-called Kenya coalition for effectively deleting the rent cap, the pending increased minimum wage for awarding public contracts, and the unfulfilled hunting law and agricultural structure law.

Péter Vida, head of the Free Voters group, implicated SPD, CDU, and Greens for numerous projects being marred by ideological conflicts. "In this sense, the coalition can only display a certification of relocation danger," Vida stated.

On Tuesday, coalition leaders plan to showcase their balance sheet of the government tenure from 2019 to 2024 as well.
