Borussia Dortmund's Sport Director Sebastian Kehl can't wait for the Champions League final on Saturday in London against Real Madrid, especially since he'll be seeing Jude Bellingham again. "It's an amazing story. He moves from our team to Madrid, and just a year later we're facing off in the Champions League final. It's almost like a cliché," Kehl said in an interview with "Kicker" (Monday).
The 20-year-old Englishman has become a global sensation since his transfer last year to Real Madrid and now plays a key role in their offensive game. "I wasn't shocked that he took on such a major role immediately," Kehl said. "I'm familiar with his talents as a player, and his incredible character, so I knew it wouldn't be long before he left his mark on Real."
Bellingham joined Madrid for approximately 100 million euros last year and has seen his market value nearly double since then. "He's going to be thrilled to see us all again at Wembley. But I also know what makes him tick: he can't stand losing. So on that day, he'll likely have to come to terms with that," Kehl added. "We know him well, and we know where to target him."
