Restructuring - Kauermann ends his role as head of restructuring at Hertha
Tim Kauermann has ended his role as head of a restructuring committee at Hertha BSC earlier than expected. The former member of the executive committee of the second-division soccer club is stepping down at the end of the year at his own request. The Berlin club announced this on Thursday without giving any further reasons.
He wanted to "encourage each individual to continue on the necessary path of restructuring ", Kauermann was quoted as saying in a press release. He took on the role in August and resigned from his position on the executive committee to do so.
Originally, Kauermann wanted to spend a year working on the economic restructuring of the financially ailing traditional club. Hertha managing director Thomas Herrich regretted the decision. The restructuring committee will continue to work, Kauermann's tasks will be distributed to other members, Hertha said.
