Despite a promising start to the season in the 2. Bundesliga, KSC manager Christian Eichner is still pushing for an additional attacker signup. "The main contributors to our success are quite dynamic," said the KSC coach before the match against SV Elversberg (6:30 PM/Sky). He remains hopeful that his team will welcome the desired player by the end of the transfer window on August 30.

The ex-Bundesliga defender also specified the type of player he seeks. "We need someone who can contribute to the team swiftly," said Eichner. "Someone who's experienced, having played a handful of matches in their professional career. Perhaps someone who's familiar with the net's location."

Eichner didn't openly confirm rumors of KSC's interest in Luca Pfeiffer from Bundesliga team VfB Stuttgart. Yet, he neither dismissed the reports. "Presently, there won't be any name or potential candidate review from my end," he underscored. "Such actions rarely prove beneficial for the situation."

It's not just in attack where change is possible, hinted Eichner. He also mentioned having a "solid, towering defender" on his wishlist.

However, the KSC is currently free from a player crisis. Against Elversberg, Eichner can still count on all his team members.

Despite KSC's current success in the Second Bundesliga, Eichner considered the potential addition of an experienced attacker to further boost their team. The coach was looking for a player who could swiftly contribute to the team, having played several matches in their career.
