Second-division soccer club Karlsruher SC will have to do without co-captain Marvin Wanitzek for the time being. The 30-year-old midfielder suffered a "fracture to his left metacarpal" in the home match against Hansa Rostock, as the club announced on Tuesday evening. Wanitzek is currently unable to take part in team training. KSC did not provide any information on the exact time of absence. Wanitzek would have been absent from Friday's visit to Hannover 96 (6.30pm) anyway due to a yellow card suspension.
