Second Division of the German Football League Restated - Karlsruher SC dissolves agreement with ex-sports director Kreuzer.

About one year and four months after the dramatic breakup, the Karlsruher SC decided to end the contract with the former sports director Oliver Kreuzer (58). They revealed this news on May 31, 2024, without giving any additional remarks. Both parties agreed to keep the details confidential. Kreuzer's contract was set to expire in the summer of 2025.

In April 2023, the KSC fired Kreuzer from his role as sports director. He was officially let go just two days later. This news raised eyebrows because Kreuzer's contract had been extended just nine months prior.

Kreuzer was first told of his departure via email. Later, the Karlsruher SC publicly apologized for how they handled his dismissal. The separation from Kreuzer signaled the start of an ongoing conflict within the club's leadership.

Sebastian Freis, a former striker, became the new head of professionals at the club after Kreuzer's departure.
