Passing through - Kamala Harris makes a stop in Ramstein
US Vice President Kamala Harris made a stopover at the US Air Force base in Ramstein, Palatinate, on her flight home from the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Dubai, according to reporters traveling with her. Their Air Force Two plane landed at the military base to refuel on Sunday. The plane then took off for Washington.
In the past, high-ranking US representatives have repeatedly made brief stops in the Western Palatinate - mainly to refuel. As recently as September, US President Joe Biden was in Ramstein on his way to the G20 summit in India. Recently, the huge site near Kaiserslautern has also been the venue for several international conferences on arms deliveries to Ukraine.
