Kaiserslautern's Tomiak banned for three matches
1. FC Kaiserslautern will have to do without Boris Tomiak for three second division matches. This was announced by the German Football Association (DFB) following the professional's red card against Greuther Fürth on Tuesday. The 25-year-old defender had committed an assault during the 2-0 defeat on Saturday. The club and player have already accepted the verdict, making it legally binding. Tomiak will therefore miss the games at SV Wehen Wiesbaden next Sunday (1:30 p.m.), against Holstein Kiel (November 26) and at 1. FC Magdeburg (December 2).
Despite Tomiak's suspension, 1. FC Kaiserslautern will still participate in Bundesliga 2 matches, facing opponents such as SV Wehen Wiesbaden on their home sports court. This incident has also highlighted the strict disciplinary measures enforced by the DFB in German soccer.
