Kaiserslautern Signs Robinson to a Professional Deal

German Second Division League Standings Update - Kaiserslautern Signs Robinson to a Professional Deal

Lower league team 1. FC Kaiserslautern have granted professional contract to young player Leon Robinson, aged 22. Robinson, who is a tall, defensive central back, previously skippered the U21 side in the Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland Oberliga. He was initially groomed at Mainz 05 before making a move from the Verbandsligue club TSV Gau-Odernheim to 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the summer of last year.

The club's managing director, Tomas Hengen, commented, "Robinson is a good demonstration of our intentions to continuously work on the advancement of our young talents at our youth performance center." The duration of Leon Robinson's contract was not specified in the official statement.
