Football: Game Spotlight - Kaiserslautern signs goalkeeper Krahl.
FC Kaiserslautern, a second-division football team, has signed a contract extension with their goalkeeper Julian Krahl early. They made the announcement on Wednesday. Krahl moved from Viktoria Berlin to FC Kaiserslautern in 2022's summer season and became a key player for the team during the recently concluded season. He was also in the starting lineup for the cup final held on Saturday which ended in a 0:1 loss for Kaiserslautern against the champions, Bayer Leverkusen.
"We're happy with Krahl's performance in the past season - it's exactly what we expected. We see a lot of promise in him," commented Thomas Hengen, the managing director of FC Kaiserslautern. Krahl began his career at RB Leipzig's youth academy, but left in 2019 because there were no opportunities for him there. Afterwards, he joined 1. FC Cologne, and finally made his way to Berlin.
