Bundesliga 2 - Kaiserslautern professional Aremu banned for three matches
Midfielder Afeez Aremu of second division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern has been banned for three championship matches by the DFB sports court for a gross foul. This was announced by the German Football Association on Tuesday. The 24-year-old professional was sent off in the 59th minute of the match against Hertha BSC (1:2) last weekend. Aremu had only been substituted 14 minutes earlier.
The player and his club have agreed to the verdict, which is therefore legally binding.

Aremu's ban will affect 1. FC Kaiserslautern's upcoming matches in the 2. Bundesliga Championship. The Championship match against Hertha BSC Berlin will be played without the services of Aremu due to his suspension. The German soccer association, dfb, made this decision after reviewing the incident that occurred during the match in Rhineland-Palatinate. The Kaiserslautern team will need to find alternative options to fill the void left by Aremu for the duration of his suspension. The Bundesliga weekend schedule might see a different outcome if 1. fc kaiserslautern's key player is absent.
