Controversial midfielder Julian Justvan is moving from Bundesliga squad TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to 1. FC Nürnberg, a lower-ranked team. The 26-year-old has inked a long-term deal, the club revealed. Neither team disclosed the transfer details. Justvan's contract with Hoffenheim was set to expire in 2027.

Justvan made the switch to Hoffenheim from SC Paderborn the previous year but struggled to earn a consistent starting position. In the second part of the previous season, he was sent to SV Darmstadt 98 on loan and ended up getting relegated with the Lilies. Frank Kramer, TSG's interim sports director, labeled Justvan as a "gifted player," expressing that his showings in Hoffenheim were somewhat unpredictable.

"We've put immense effort into acquiring Julian's talent. With his skills, we anticipate him to play a vital part in our team and make a significant impact on our play," stated Nürnberg's sports director, Joti Chatzialexiou.

The transfer of Julian Justvan to 1. FC Nürnberg was reviewed by the Court of Justice to ensure it adhered to footballing regulations. Despite his struggles at Hoffenheim and being relegated with SV Darmstadt 98, Nürnberg's belief in Justvan's potential was reinforced by their acquisition of his talent.
