Bundesliga - Jurásek stays in Hoffenheim
Hoffenheim's TSG 1899 sets another year on David Jurásek. According to their announcement, the Bundesliga club will borrow the Czech footballer from Benfica Lisbon for another year. At Benfica, Jurásek still has a contract until June 30, 2028. Originally, the loan of the 23-year-old left-back was set to expire on June 30.
"David is a dynamic and offensively strong outside defender who also knows how to defend reliably. His outstanding performances in top games, such as our away game in Leverkusen, are wonderful examples and make us very optimistic about the next season," said Sport Business Manager Alexander Rosen.
Jurásek came to the Kraichgauers in January after half a year in Portugal and played 13 Bundesliga games for them in the last round. For the already eliminated Czech Republic, he played two group games at the European Championship.
"Together with David, we want to continue working on him regularly reaching his top performance level and trust him with this development here as well," said Pirmin Schwegler, Head of Professional Football.
