Christian Kukuk is on course for a medal at the Olympic Games. The 34-year-old from Riesenbeck remained fault-free with Checker in the final and qualified for the jump-off. Meanwhile, Philipp Weishaupt was eliminated. The 39-year-old, who also works in Riesenbeck with Ludger Beerbaum, incurred five penalty points in Versailles with Zineday.

Richard Vogel had already been eliminated in the qualification the day before. The 27-year-old from Marburg collected 12 penalty points with United Touch and missed the final by a considerable margin.

After securing a spot in the jump-off, Christian Kukuk is hopes to bring home a medal from Paris, the city of the Olympic Games. Despite Philippaerts' impressive performance in Versailles, he incurred five penalty points, falling short of competitors in Paris.
