Juliane Wirtz will suit up for Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga next season. The 22-year-old sister of Bayer Leverkusen superstar, Florian Wirtz, has sealed a new pact with the Green-Whites, as reported by the club on Tuesday.

"In a relatively short span of time, she's adapted well and contributes significantly to our balance between the defense and offense," Birte Brüggemann, who oversees women's football at Werder, explained. "She laid the foundation for the team's current success."

"I'm thrilled to continue this journey of creating something special," said Juliane, whose brother Florian is gearing up for the European Championship with the German squad this summer.

Juliane Wirtz hails from North Rhine-Westphalia, just like her brother Florian, who plays for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in Germany. Juliane's new contract with Werder Bremen will keep her in the Soccer Bundesliga, a league she's proven herself in. Her impressive performance on the field has attracted attention, with Birte Brüggemann praising her contribution to the team's balance between defense and offense. Despite Leverkusen's victory in a recent cup tournament, thanks to Granit Xhaka's two goals, Juliane and her Werder Bremen teammates are eagerly looking forward to their own Bundesliga matches.
