The business rebrands itself - Judicial Order Halts Windhorst's Arrest Warrant
The Insolvency Court in Hannover has withdrawn the arrest warrant for investor Lars Windhorst. This was confirmed by a representative of the district court in the same city on Tuesday when contacted by the German Press Agency. The withdrawal occurred because Windhorst agreed to meet with the court. However, the representative didn't state when the meeting was scheduled to take place.
Earlier reports stated that the court authorized an arrest warrant for Windhorst on May 23. The investor was thought to have neglected his duties in the insolvency proceedings against Projekt IZ Hannover GmbH.
Windhorst was speculated to be the unofficial managing director of the GmbH, according to previous statements from the court. He allegedly failed to provide information and didn't hand over keys. Windhorst did not attend a hearing held on April 22 either.
A representative from Windhorst's Tennor Group previously acknowledged that an appeal had been filed against the arrest warrant. The arrest warrant was dubbed a "pressure tactic" by the spokesperson as it was intended to get Windhorst to make a statement. Windhorst contends the claim that he didn't comply with his obligations is untrue.
Projekt IZ Hannover GmbH owns 83% of the Ihme Center in Hannover. The Ihme Center is a residential and office complex situated along the banks of the Ihme River in the district of Linden. For quite some time, it has been in need of renovation.
