Job market - Joblessness in Lower Saxony experiences a slight decline in May.
In May, the number of unemployed individuals in Lower Saxony dropped by approximately 3,200 to roughly 257,000 people. The unemployment rate also saw a decline of 0.2 percentage points, reaching 5.7%. The Federal Employment Agency shared this information on Tuesday. During the same time period in the previous year, there was an increase of approximately 11,300 unemployed people, with an unemployment rate of 5.6% at that time. The agency's data was collected and analyzed up until May 15th.
