Talk show on MDR network - Joachim Llambi appointed as new host for "Riverboat" show.
The talk show "Riverboat" on MDR will have a new host starting August 23rd. "Let's Dance" judge Joachim Llambi (59) will join the other moderators of "Riverboat" - Klaus Brinkbäumer (57), comedian Matze Knop (49), and entertainer Wolfgang Lippert (72). According to previous reports by the "Bild" newspaper, Llambi has accepted the new role.
Excited about his new position, Llambi announced it on Instagram, saying "It's out sooner than I thought, and what a fantastic surprise for me!" He also expressed his enthusiasm for his fellow moderators and the "great audience" of "Riverboat."
"Riverboat" is a beloved talk show in German television that first aired on January 3, 1992, initially called "MDR Club." It was later renamed "Riverboat" in 1994.
Llambi is best known for his work on RTL, where he's been since 2006 as a judge for the dance competition "Let's Dance." He has also hosted other television shows, including a revival of the popular quiz show "Jeopardy."
