Jewish community invites to peace march against anti-Semitism
The Jewish community wants to send a signal against anti-Semitism and show its solidarity with Israel with a demonstration march through Düsseldorf city center today. According to the police, 1000 participants have registered for the rally under the motto "Against all anti-Semitism - solidarity with Israel".
Anti-Semitic attacks have also increased in Germany since the Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October, the community criticized. The demonstration is primarily intended to draw attention to the fate of the hostages who are still being held by Hamas. A final rally is planned on Johannes-Rau-Platz in front of the State Chancellery.
Despite the increased anti-Semitic conflicts following Hamas' attack on Israel, the Jewish community organized a demonstration march to express their solidarity with Israel and stand against anti-Semitism. The demonstrations will culminate with a final rally on Johannes-Rau-Platz where the issue of hostages held by Hamas will be highlighted.
