people - Jenna Ortega felt lonely after the success of 'Wednesday'
US-actress Jenna Ortega reportedly felt lonely after the success of the horror series "Wednesday" according to her own statements. "It's a very isolating experience and terrifying," the 21-year-old told US magazine "Harper's Bazaar" about her growing fame following the series' release in 2022.
Ortega received support during the filming of the sequel to the cult classic "Beetlejuice" from acting colleague Winona Ryder (52). "She definitely helped me feel less alone," Ortega said.
The experiences Ryder herself had gone through were helpful for Ortega: "Being able to talk to someone who had experienced it firsthand (...) was a great source of comfort for me, and I can't thank her enough for it."
Ryder had also become a star as a teenager. In 1988, she starred in Tim Burton's horror comedy "Beetlejuice," and her breakthrough came in 1990 with "Edward Scissorhands" alongside Johnny Depp. "Beetlejuice 2," in which Ortega and Ryder are joined by Michael Keaton, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe, is set to be released in September.
Jenna Ortega, appreciating the support, shared that Winona Ryder's presence during the filming of "Beetlejuice 2" made the experience less isolating, similar to how she felt after the success of the "Wednesday" horror series. Harper's Bazaar highlighted how Ortega found solace in discussing her feelings with Ryder, who had also navigated fame at a young age, starring in "Beetlejuice" in 1988 and "Edward Scissorhands" in 1990. People looking forward to the release of "Beetlejuice 2" in September, will see Ortega, Ryder, and other celebrated actors like Michael Keaton, Monica Bellucci, and Willeve Dafoe, on the Hollywood silver screen once again.
