Jail terms handed down in trial for rocker-gang shootout in Duisburg

These individuals were found guilty of various charges, including assault and violating the peace. Even though the sentence wasn't as severe as the prosecution requested, they had asked for prison sentences of seven years and ten months for each of the two 39-year-old defendants, as well as six years and ten months for the third. The reason behind this legal action was an attempted murder case.

The conflict reportedly involved over one hundred people and occurred in early May 2022 at the Hamborner Altmarkt in Duisburg. The source of the dispute was claimed to be an ongoing feud between the Hells Angels and a clan. Both defendants were accused of firing weapons at their rivals, which resulted in a total of 16 shots being fired. Four individuals were injured in the process.

Immediately following the incidents, 15 people were taken into custody. The two 39-year-old defendants had been apprehended in May of the previous year, approximately a year after the event.

Approximately a few days later, a series of searches were conducted in connection with the event. Many weapons were found during these searches, including 12 knives, 3 machetes, and 2 swords.
