- It's still warm in Brandenburg in the summer
Brandenburg and Berlin can expect sunny weather and summer-like temperatures up to 32°C (89.6°F) towards the end of the week. The chance of rain and thunderstorms remains low, according to the German Weather Service (DWD).
Today, temperatures can reach up to 32°C (89.6°F) with mostly clear skies and only isolated clouds. Tonight, into Thursday, temperatures will drop to 18 to 13°C (64.4 to 55.4°F) with few clouds and a low chance of rain.
Throughout Thursday, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop in the south and west. With temperatures ranging from 25 to 29°C (77 to 84.2°F), the DWD warns of potential heavy thunderstorms. The trend continues into Friday night.
Towards the weekend, skies will clear up again. Friday afternoon will be mostly dry with a high of 25°C (77°F). Overnight into Saturday, the DWD predicts low temperatures of 14 to 11°C (57.2 to 51.8°F).
The Commission, considering the weather forecast, might decide to postpone any outdoor events to avoiding disturbances caused by potential heavy thunderstorms in Brandenburg and Berlin this Thursday. After the weekend, once the summer-like temperatures return and the chance of rain decreases, the Commission could reassess and adopt a new schedule.
Following the warnings by the DWD, the Commission shall encourage local residents and tourists in Brandenburg and Berlin to stay updated and prepare for the possible thunderstorms this Thursday, in accordance with the safety guidelines provided by the German Weather Service.
