Blue skies, plenty of sunshine, and temperatures up to 35°C is what the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts for Hesse. Strong heat stress is expected in many places, especially in South and Central Hesse. In the northeast and on the mountains, temperatures will range from 28 to 32°C. Local showers are possible in South Hesse, otherwise it will remain dry.

The warmth continues after sunset: Locally, the DWD expects a tropical night with just over 20°C, otherwise temperatures will range from 19 to 16°C. On Tuesday, severe thunderstorms can develop during the day, with the potential for severe weather, as the DWD predicts: Lightning and thunder could bring heavy rain, hail, and gusty winds. Temperatures will once again reach 32 to 36°C.

Despite the predicted tropical night, temperatures will still be above 20°C, according to the Weather forecast for the northeast. On Tuesday, the Weather forecast from DWD warns of severe thunderstorms, potentially causing heavy rain, hail, and strong winds.
