Witnesses mentioned a rise in civilian evacuations heading towards the sea as military encounters escalated.
One CNN employee described recent tank harm from the east-west Netzarim route established by Israel in central Gaza towards southern Gaza city. This staffer also confirmed small-scale incursions into the same regions over the past few days.
