Israeli government leader net, Netanyahu, disbands war cabinet in the country.

Gantz stepped down from the cabinet established following Hamas's significant assault on Israel on June 9, 2021, within the context of the war cabinet. Alongside Netanyahu and Gantz, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and previous IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot were also included in the cabinet. Eisenkot, who served as an observer, also announced his departure, synchronously with Gantz.

Following the war cabinet's dissolution, the Security Cabinet would be convening more frequently, as per another Israeli government representative. "The Security Cabinet is the principal decision-making body when it comes to conflicts." Prior to the decisions of the war cabinet regarding the Gaza War, all such decisions were previously endorsed by the Security Cabinet.

The Security Cabinet, apart from Netanyahu and Gallant, is composed of National Security Advisor Tzachi Hanegbi and Minister for Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer.

As per media reports in Israel, Netanyahu dismantled the war cabinet to prevent his radical right-wing ministers Ben Gvir and Smotrich from being there.

The Gaza War was incited by Hamas's large-scale attack on Israel on October 7, 2021, during which, according to Israeli reports, 1194 people perished, and 251 individuals were held captive in the Gaza Strip. As a response, Israel has been carrying out extensive military operations in the Gaza Strip since then. According to reports from the Hamas-controlled Health Ministry, 37,340 individuals have been killed thus far, although these reports remain unverified.
