51 Suspects - Investigators uncover suspected drug gangs in Nuremberg
Police and prosecutors have uncovered a suspected drug trafficking ring in Nuremberg involving numerous individuals. Ten suspects were taken into custody, as announced by a spokesperson for the Middle Franconia Police Headquarters.
Since August 2023, 51 suspects have been identified and 34 search warrants executed. The searched locations are primarily in Nuremberg, but also in the vicinity of Frankfurt am Main in Hesse.
Kilograms of meth and cocaine, over a ton of marijuana
The searches continued until April of this year, followed by the issuance of arrest warrants. The spokesperson stated that information could not be provided earlier to avoid jeopardizing the investigation. Investigations against the remaining suspects are ongoing.
The group is alleged to have operated a thriving trade in large quantities of narcotics. Over a ton of marijuana, 3.5 kg of hashish, 4 kg of methamphetamine, and 7.5 kg of cocaine are said to have changed hands.
During the searches, which in some cases involved special forces, investigators seized a six-figure sum in cash, 13 new Rolex watches, and approximately five kilograms of drugs (marijuana, hashish, and cocaine).
The seized drugs during the raids amounted to several kilograms, including marijuana, hashish, and cocaine. The investigation revealed that the group was actively involved in the distribution of these illicit substances, also known as ['drugs'].
