Investigators report fatal attack in Offenburg
Following the fatal shooting of a schoolboy in Offenburg, Baden, the police and public prosecutor's office want to report on the status of the investigation on Tuesday (11.00 a.m.). The head of the Offenburg police headquarters, Jürgen Rieger, and the head of the Offenburg public prosecutor's office, Iris Janke, will provide information at the press conference. The police have set up a special commission in the case called "Mühlbach".
A 15-year-old schoolboy is suspected of having shot a peer last Thursday. The German suspect has been in custody ever since. Days after the bloody deed, there are still many questions, for example about the murder weapon.
The attack is said to have taken place in the suspect's 9th grade class. The 15-year-old pupil is said to have entered his classroom and suddenly shot his classmate in the head with a handgun. The 15-year-old victim was hit by a total of two shots, the investigators reported.
