- Investigations into child pornography - searches
Raids in Halle, as part of an investigation into child pornography, have led police to seize numerous data carriers and digital storage devices. A total of 22 apartments and houses, as well as various vehicles in the Halle city area and the Dessau region, were searched, police reported.
The raids targeted suspects aged between 17 and 84. The investigation focuses on the acquisition, possession, and distribution of images depicting the sexual abuse of children and young people. Additionally, police found other prohibited items and drugs.
The suspected individuals, apprehended during the raids, were handed over to the Police for further questioning and potential charges. Subsequently, the presence of underage pornography on these digital devices may necessitate further cooperation between local and national law enforcement agencies.
