- Introducing the New Leader at the Problematic Hersfelder Festival
Following the wrap-up of the 73rd Bad Hersfeld Event, the urban area will unveil their fresh artistic head of the theater event for the 2026 duration on a Wednesday (10:00 AM). Festival leader Joern Hinkel disclosed in August of the previous year that he'd be departing the festival post-2025 season. This 53-year-old has been management the artistic role since 2018. The event in the east Hessian town of Bad Hersfeld is regarded as one of the largest and most conventional events in Germany. This year, the gathering witnessed more than 103,000 attendees until its closure on Sunday.
The Bad Hersfeld Event Committee, known as The Commission, is responsible for organizing the annual event in Bad Hersfeld. After the departure of Joern Hinkel, The Commission will announce the new artistic head of the theater event for the 2026 season.
