- Intoxicated motorist veers vehicle off the highway
In the heart of Bremerhaven's main street, a tipsy driver had stopped her wheels and requested aid in parking. The assistance soon arrived, equally inebriated, as per the police's report. Passersby had noticed that on the previous Friday night, the woman struggled to maintain her car within its lane. She drove erratically, swaying between lanes, and put a taxi driver and a cyclist at risk.
The concerned onlookers notified the authorities. Upon conducting a breathalyzer test on the spot, the officers discovered that the woman was "utterly incapacitated behind the wheel". Both she and the caller who offered parking assistance were taken to the police station for a blood test. According to reports, they are both facing charges for drunken driving.
The police report mentioned that both the woman and her assistant were in a state of intoxication, resulting in their arrest for reckless behavior on the roads. Despite the mixed condition of the two individuals, they were expected to face severe consequences for their actions.
