In a crash involving two vehicles in the Nordwestmecklenburg region, two individuals endured minor injuries. Before the occurrence on Wednesday evening, a 34-year-old driver, allegedly under the influence, veered into the wrong lane, as stated by authorities on Thursday. He then struck a car heading toward him, driven by a 39-year-old woman, on a federal route close to Gadebusch, as reported on Thursday as well. Emergency services transported the injured parties to a medical facility.

The authorities determined the man's blood alcohol level to be 2.4% after the incident. He is currently under investigation for putting traffic safety at risk.

Following the collision, tensions between the two drivers erupted into clashes at the scene. Subsequent to the accident, the road experienced temporary closures due to the clashes and the cleanup efforts.
