Interruption at HSV game: Fans set off fireworks

The second division match between Hamburger SV and 1. FC Magdeburg had to be interrupted for a short time. Magdeburg soccer fans had set off several fireworks in the 25th minute on Saturday evening. Referee Florian Exner blew his whistle. After two minutes, however, play resumed. The smoke continued to hang over the pitch at the Volksparkstadion for some time. At the time of the interruption, HSV were leading 1:0 thanks to a goal by Laszlo Benes (9th).

The interruption in the Bundesliga 2 game between Hamburger SV and 1. FC Magdeburg was due to Magdeburg's soccer fans setting off fireworks. Despite the delay, Hamburger SV managed to maintain their lead with Laszlo Benes's goal still standing at 1:0.
