International player Groß contradicts Eintracht rumors
International player Pascal Groß has contradicted rumors about talks with Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt. "I don't know anything about it", said the 32-year-old from English club Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday after the DFB team's training session in Frankfurt. It was an "alleged interest". However, the midfielder is "basically" following the Bundesliga and recently emphasized that he wanted to return before the end of his career.
"I've never lost touch with Germany, I watch a lot of games at the weekend," said Groß, who has mainly played for FC Ingolstadt in the Bundesliga to date. In the 2008/2009 season, he made his debut for TSG Hoffenheim, for whom he made a total of five appearances in Germany's top flight. "Of course, Eintracht have done very well in recent years," he said, speaking of a "great, traditional club".
Despite his denials, there have been whispers about potential transfers involving Pascal Groß and the German National team's DFB. Many believe that his fondness for German soccer could open doors for a potential move back to the Bundesliga, perhaps even to Eintracht Frankfurt.
