Soccer - Interesting preliminary round pairings at the European Championships in Hamburg
The Volksparkstadion in Hamburg will at least see some interesting matches in the preliminary round of the European Football Championship 2024. That was the result of the draw on Saturday at the Elbphilharmonie in the Hanseatic city. On June 16, the Netherlands will face the winner of play-off path A in Group D. That could be Poland with star striker Robert Lewandowski. The other three participants in the final qualifying round in March are Wales, Estonia and Finland. Croatia will have to prove themselves in Group B against Albania on June 19.
On June 22 and 26, two games from Group F will take place at the home of Hamburger SV. First, the Czech Republic will play the winner of play-off path C. Georgia, Luxembourg, Greece and Kazakhstan will battle it out for a place in March. On June 26, the Czechs will face Turkey. In addition to the four preliminary round matches, there is also a quarter-final on July 5 at the Volksparkstadion.
