Jenoptik - Interactive facade projection on the Ernst Abbe high-rise building
A new installation at the Ernst Abbe Tower in Jena promises a special experience. In the video art exhibition series "tangente digital art", Jenoptik is showing a work by artist Kurt Komell, which guests can interact with. This was announced by the company ahead of the planned vernissage on Monday.
Guests can be filmed via a camera in the foyer as they move to a sound and color installation. The silhouettes of the dancers are then projected onto the façade of the high-rise building in real time.
Kurt Komell, whose real name is Manuel Glybowski, is an employee of the Thuringian technology group Jenoptik; the Ernst Abbe Tower is the company's headquarters. According to Jenoptik, this is the first time that an employee has shown his art at "tangente digital art". According to Komell, he has been active in the so-called veejaying scene for a long time. He has accompanied artists and musicians with his special video art at hundreds of events.
The installation at the Ernst Abbe Tower can be experienced from December 5 to 16.
