DWD: Weather Division Update - Intense rainfall and powerful storms predicted for Lower Saxony region.
During Monday in Lower Saxony, the weather is expected to be unpredictable. There will be clouds and sporadic showers throughout the day, along with the occasional thunderstorm later in the afternoon. The German Weather Service made this known at the beginning of the day. On Tuesday evening and night, there's a chance of heavy rain showers due to the thunderstorms.
From the afternoon on, southern Lower Saxony could experience severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall of around 25 liters per square meter. Throughout the night, the rainfall will move towards the northern half of Lower Saxony and Bremen, possibly resulting in up to 40 liters of water per square meter coming down in a short period. By Tuesday, the rain is expected to gradually taper off during the day.
The Weather Service predicts a maximum temperature of 19 degrees on the islands and 23 degrees in the Hanover and Göttingen region on Monday. At night, the temperature is expected to fall to 10 to 13 degrees. On Tuesday, temperatures are forecast to be approximately 16 to 19 degrees.

On Monday, the DWD warnings urge residents in Lower Saxony to be prepared for intense storms and heavy rainfall. Despite the predicted thunderstorms, temperatures in the Hanover and Goетtingen region will reach 23 degrees. Due to the severe weather conditions, Bremen might also experience heavy rainfall later in the week, potentially exceeding 40 liters per square meter.
