- Intense blaze in Zehlendorf – residence teetering on edge of collapse
A blaze in Berlin-Zehlendorf caused quite a stir. As per the fire department's reports, numerous fire trucks were dispatched to Forbacher Straße around midnight, where a semi-detached house had turned into a raging inferno. Both levels and the rooftop were already under flames' wrath.
Swift firefighting measures kept the flames from jumping to the unscathed half of the house. But the complicated entryway posed a challenge. After some time, the firefighters had managed to put the fire in check. The semi-detached house had suffered heavy damage and was precariously close to collapsing.
Roughly 70 firefighters participated in the operation. The clean-up and restoration processes are anticipated to take additional hours into the day. Thankfully, no casualties were reported. The authorities are now looking into the circumstances that led to the fire.
The news of a 'fire in residential buildings' spread rapidly, as the incident in Berlin-Zehlendorf had similarities. The fire department's resources were also mobilized when a residential building in Forbacher Straße was engulfed in flames.
