Textile industry - Insolvency administrator: Restructuring of C.H. Müller is making progress
The restructuring of insolvent textile processor C.H. Mueller in Vogtland is making progress, according to insolvency administrator Dirk Herzig. After a personnel reduction, the wages and salaries of the now approximately 240 employees could be generated again from the running business, Herzig informs. At the time of the insolvency application in April, the company still had 279 employees. "Our goal is still to save the company and the jobs, and we are making good progress." There are talks about the entry of an investor. These might still be concluded by the end of the summer.
The traditional company was founded in 1868 and produces composite materials from plastic, real and artificial leather. It is used in cars, trailers and aircraft, for example, for seats and interior coverings. The development and production is running in full swing, emphasizes Herzig.
