Social circle - Inquiry underway on Fehmarn linked to racial confrontation
Law enforcement officials are currently probing reports of racially charged chants during a dance party for Rapsblütenfest on the Baltic island of Fehmarn. Allegedly, around 15 individuals sang derogatory phrases against foreigners while performing the tune "L'Amour toujours," as per police reports. The disturbing episode transpired in Petersdorf, a village belonging to the city of Fehmarn, on May 5th. The event's organizer had cut the music off due to the inflammatory outbursts.
Investigators from the State Protection Commissioner's Office of the District Criminal Investigation in Lübeck are exploring the possibility of racially motivated hate speech and are searching for potential witnesses. The Lübeck Police Department confirmed on May 27th that they'd been apprised of the situation.
