Along the A63 highway, a severe accident occurred involving two individuals with critical injuries. A 67-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man were on their way to Kaiserslautern on a Wednesday when, as per eyewitness accounts, they swerved from the right side of the road near the Kirchheimbolanden junction in the Donnersberg district (Mainz Traffic Directorate's report). The car is believed to have been hurled back onto the road and flipped over numerous times before eventually settling upright.

The two passengers had to be extracted from the vehicle and received medical attention via rescue helicopter. An authority figure will assess the event's origin. The motorway was barred from traffic in the direction of Kaiserslautern for quite some time.
