Following a house fire in Solingen that injured 11 people, authorities are probing an alleged attempt at murder. The ongoing investigation points to a premeditated arson with a flammable substance, according to the Wuppertal Public Prosecutor's Office. Detectives are investigating every possible angle.

Eleven individuals suffered from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning and one woman additionally suffered a foot injury while escaping the house. The blaze erupted early on a Sunday morning.

A team of detectives is investigating - without a specific suspect in mind yet. They refused to divulge the exact location of the fire or the type of accelerant used.

Authorities are desperately seeking any witnesses or informants who might have observed suspicious people or vehicles in the area at the time. The first emergency call came in on Sunday at 1:15 a.m.

There were signs of smoke emanating from several windows at the front and back of the three-story dwelling when firefighters and paramedics arrived early on Sunday morning. They managed to rescue ten people, consisting of two families, using a ladder.

Another house blaze caused by arson occurred in Solingen on March 25th, claiming four lives. A person of interest is currently in pre-trial detention. This individual, aged 39, is accused of attempting to murder a 44-year-old man by using a machete to severely wound him two weeks later.
