Basketball team BG Göttingen has added forward Collin Welp to their roster. The league announced the news on Thursday. Welp, whose father Christian Welp won the European title with Germany in 1993 but passed away in 2015, comes from the league rival Würzburg Baskets. He's a 2.06m American-born player who appeared in 41 games last season. His most recent performance was a playoff semifinals appearance with Würzburg against FC Bayern Munich.
