Consumers - Inflation rate in Thuringia at 3.6 percent in November
The inflation rate in Thuringia continues to fall. It fell to 3.6 percent in November, according to the Thuringian State Office for Statistics on Tuesday. In October, it was still at 4 percent. Nevertheless, prices were still higher than in 2022.
Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products recorded the largest price increase, rising by 8.9 percent. In the energy sector, people currently have to pay significantly more for electricity (+18.4%) and gas (+9.1%). Heating oil, district heating and fuels were cheaper than in the previous year.
Nationwide, consumer prices in November were 3.2 percent higher than in the same month last year - after 3.8 percent in October, according to preliminary figures released by the Federal Statistical Office on Wednesday.
