Various creatures inhabit the natural world - Infants born to chimpanzees at Leipzig Zoo

In the West African chimpanzee section of Leipzig Zoo, a new baby chimpanzee has been born! The baby was delivered by a 13-year-old chimpanzee named Changa on a Tuesday night. The happy mother appears to be doing a great job taking care of her child, and while zoo staff are happy about this development, they're also cautious; they haven't yet seen Changa drink or nurse her baby. Changa is a first-time mom, and her previous attempt at motherhood ended sadly when her first offspring passed away soon after birth. The gender of the newborn is also still a mystery at this time.
