Following the mishap, the man dialed a buddy and requested assistance. Arriving on a bicycle, the friend found the man trying to make a hasty escape from the scene. However, the law enforcement officers intervened and conducted a breathalyzer test. The results were unfavorable, as the man's blood alcohol level surpassed 1.5 per mille.
The man was subsequently required to provide a blood sample. He's currently under investigation for endangering traffic. The financial damage from the accident exceeded 20,000 euros. The energy provider worked diligently to restore power, as reported by the police.
The investigation into the incident revealed that the man's actions disrupted not only the road but also the local [transport and telecommunications] network, as several phone lines were damaged in the crash. To facilitate communication with the authorities and his friend, alternative arrangements for transportation and telecommunications services were necessary.
